We agree that starting from scratch can be extremely intimidating. Most people don’t even know where to start. How much space do I need? Should my deck be more than one level? What material would work best for my deck? As all of these concerns are buzzing around your head, it’s vital to record what you are thinking, so no questions are left unanswered.

Simply looking at different decks is great place to start. Buy a decking magazine, use google, or take note of your neighbors decks, whatever works best for you . This should give you a good idea of what you like, and more importantly what you don’t like. Keep a list of what you want out of your deck that nothing gets overlooked.
